The planning application for the Wilmer Place development is now available on the Council's website. This means that the the consultation period where you can have your say on the planning application has now started.
You can see a copy of the application and all the supplementary documents here. If you have trouble accessing them, you can search for the application here entering 2012/2228 in the 'application number' field. The deadline for comments is 24 September 2012. You can send your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org (using the reference 2012/2228 in the subject line) or online here.
It is important to make sure that your comments cover ‘relevant’ planning considerations, as these are the only matters that can the Council can take into account. The Council has produced a guide to commenting on applications here.
We have prepared a short briefing to highlight what we think will be the key planning considerations relevant to the Wilmer Place application. It also highlights the policies against which your comments will be interpreted. If you would like to receive a copy of the briefing, please email us.
It is important to remember that Councillors not on the planning committee will not have any direct say in the final decision. However, ward Councillors can support and represent residents in their objections and speak on their behalf at the committee meeting. This is a common role that Councillors undertake. We have covered the role of councillors in the planning process here.
