Zone E and Zone E(ext) Controlled Parking Zones are currently up for review.
Many of you have contacted us in the past with various issues about the parking zone from problems with enforcement to concern about the hours of operation, and also positive feedback about how it helps residents in being able to find a parking space. Now is the chance to have your say. The consultation closes on Monday 7th February 2011.
Everyone within the zone will have had a consultation questionnaire through their door, but you can also find the documents online here.
Hackney Council reviews the operation of controlled parking zones every three years, and our zone was last looked at in 2006. The questionnaire asks for views on:
- the allocation of yellow lines to improve road safety
- the hours parking controls apply in the Zone (currently 7am-7pm Mon-Sat in Zone E)
- The design of the CPZ including the location and type of parking bays
- how to enforce parking controls in the zone.
