Building Schools for the Future
There has been a lot of press coverage of the coalition government's cuts to the Building Schools for the Future programme.
There is good news for Hackney though - none of our BSF projects are affected by the cuts.
The BSF programme has involved £167m of investment from the previous Labour Government which has meant that three Hackney schools have been refurbished and a further three secondary and four special schools will be either rebuilt or refurbished. It's vital that every young person being educated in Hackney benefits from schools with excellent facilities - new classrooms, laboratories, kitchens, IT facilities and sports areas.
There is more information about BSF in Hackney here.
