Church Street update

We have been working closely with the Stoke Newington Business Association to make sure that any disruption to businesses is kept at a minimum whilst the Church Street works are underway.

Following a request from the Stoke Newington Business Association, the one way traffic diversion will be removed during December and there will be two way traffic again along Church Street.

Cllr Alan Laing, Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said: "I recognise the importance of trading in the run up to Christmas for all businesses and we will suspend the works during the whole of December to ensure that there is no adverse impact of trade at this important time. The substantial investment being made and the improvements to Church Street will help shops, restaurants and bars by creating a far nicer pedestrian environment and I am confident that businesses will see this upon the completion of the works."

The works are currently two weeks ahead of schedule. Please do contact us if you have any concerns about the Church Street scheme.
