The pub management at the Rochester Castle organised another meeting for residents this week to discuss the ongoing issues with noise from the venue.
It was clear from the meeting that the situation has improved since the pub first became aware of the extent of disturbance for residents in the houses that back onto the pub, but there is still some way to go before these are fully resolved. Residents can contact the pub management at any time if the noise is reaching an unacceptable level, and assurances were given that this would be dealt with as a priority.
A number of improvements will be made to the garden over the coming months, including installing a different fire exit gate so the entrance to Kynaston Gardens cannot be used, and installing a gate in the alleyway off Kynaston Avenue.
We are also pursuing the ongoing noise from the extractor fan - council officers will be investigating this in the next couple of weeks to determine what needs to be done to reduce the noise.
