Hackney GCSE results - best ever

There have been massive improvements in GCSE results in Hackney this year.

The results are measured on the percentage of pupils that achieve five or more A*-C GCSEs including Maths and English. Haggerston, Cardinal Pole and Hackney Free all improved by 10% more than last year. Mossbourne Academy achieved a staggering 84%, raising the bar for all schools in Hackney.

  • Cardinal Pole: 51%
  • Clapton Girls: 49%
  • Hackney Free and Parochial: 31%
  • Haggerston Girls: 49%
  • Mossbourne Communtiy Academy: 84%
  • Our Lady's Convent: 69%
  • Skinner's: 30%
  • Stoke Newington: 48%
  • Yesodey Hatorah School for Girls: 83%
In 2008, the national average was 47.6%. The average for Hackney this year based on the provisional results is 52%. This is a real credit to all pupils and teachers in Hackney.
