The fun day on Somerford and Shacklewell estate yesterday was a great success.
The new kitchen in the community hall was formally opened, with Shoreditch Spa running cookery classes throughout the day. The Peace of Mind project were also in the community hall offering advice on well being, massages, reiki and lavender bags for residents.
Outside in the sunshine, there was a bouncy castle, bingo, a BBQ, Hackney Homes officers and the local Safer Neighbourhood Team offering advice for residents. There was a writing competition for kids on the estate - with the winning story being rewarded with an ipod.
Congratulations to the Chair of the TRA Yolanda for organising such a successful day.
