Decent homes at Morris Blitz Court

We have been pushing hard for Morris Blitz Court to have decent homes improvements and work is due to start early next year.

Hackney Homes have recognised that there are specific external problems to the building - especially with damp.
So a team of senior officers from the Estate Renewal Team, the Decent Homes team and the neighbourhood office have been coming together for monthly meetings with residents to address all the issues with Morris Blitz in one go - and draw up an 'estate plan' which will make changes to improve safety, improve green areas and overall make sure that the block has a much needed facelift.

The location of the bins has been a big issue that needs resolving - and yesterday we did a door to door survey asking residents to vote on whether they want the bins to remain at the back (but under the podium) or have recycling bins and waste bins next to each other at the front. If we didn't manage to speak to you, a survey and newsletter will be delivered over the coming weeks, so please do fill it in and have your say.
