Sustainable Energy

E.ON have a Sustainable Energy Fund - grants of up to £20,000 can be awarded to support community energy projects in buildings - from energy efficiency through to micro-regeneration. The fund is available to community groups, charities, not for profit organisations and schools and must benefit young people, elderly people or people in poverty.

If any local groups are interested in applying, the full details are on the E.ON website
and the deadline is June 12th and October 16th 2009.

For information about what Hackney Homes residents can do to improve energy efficiency in their homes (from top tips, to grants that are available and information on Green Estates) please see here.

  1. Sorry, but mentioning 'Eon' and'sustainable energy' in the same sentance seems something of an oxymoron - Eon is pushing to build new coal-fired power stations relying on unproven and costly CCS technology.
    There's nothing sustainable about that!
